Promotion is not from abroad but from above. You can have a first class in school and live a third class life without God. Your certificate is irrelevant when God wants to bless you. Who you know to get a job is immaterial if grace is backing you. When God decides to favor you, no battalion of devils can withstand it. God can pick you up from nowhere and place you somewhere. When favor rests upon your life, rejection becomes only a memory. When God decides to make you a show glass, even those that once ridiculed you will do window shopping on your matter.
So why so impatient?
Why chase the money when the money should be working for you? Why sell your body in exchange for favors when goodwill should be queuing up to bless you? Why belittle yourself in a hotel room when you should be making your mark in the boardroom? Why connive to dupe people when you have all it takes to make the same money legally? Why struggle to stand on both feet financially when you should be soaring effortlessly under grace? Why “steal” another woman’s husband when yours is only just about to find you? Why break the rules when you are destined to rule your World? Why steal a ‘torch’ when you are indeed the light of the World? Why steal ‘bread’ when you are a beloved child of the Baker?
The difference between a breast sucking baby and a food devouring child is TIME. The difference between an unripe orange and a ripe one is TIME. The difference between an undergraduate and a fully employed graduate is TIME. The difference between where you are now and where you want to be is TIME.
Why rush time when time itself was made for your own good? Ecclesiastes 9:11 makes us understand that “The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but TIME and chance happen to them all.”
Even the miracle of childbirth takes TIME (9 months) to be fully realized. Why rush the baby out because you are impatient to wait for her due date?
In the words of Oprah
Winfrey, “You have it all. Just not all at once”.
It sounds simple but sometimes you have to give time, time.
