Someone once asked me, “what’s your biggest regret in life?”
I answered, “that instead of learning from my mistakes, I regretted them happening”. Think about it.
Sometimes you sit down after making a mistake and keep playing those “what if” scenarios. What if I did this, what if I did that, what if I didn’t do that, what if I didn’t go see him, what if I prayed, what if I said my mind.
As little as they sound, “what if’s” are devil’s mischevious ways of holding back one’s happiness, making you blame God and everyone else for something and preventing one from learning from their mistakes.
The mental barrier called “what if’s” left my life when I got a hold of my favorite scripture in the Bible, Romans 8:28 which reads, “For all things work together for good for those that love God..”.
I am sure that I love God so all things (good, bad, mistakes, tears, worry, good news, bad news, ugly news, setbacks, obstacles etc) will all work together for my good.
So where people see stumbling blocks, I see stepping stones. Where people see setbacks, I envision divine setups.
Where people find excuses, I look out for opportunities. Where people regress, I progress. Where people look down on themselves, I look up to God. Where people worry, I pray.
Remember, scars only show us where we have been, they do not dictate where we are going.
Don’t give up, have faith, love God, have hope for tomorrow and believe in yourself and ALL THINGS WILL WORK TOGETHER FOR YOUR GOOD.
